FUHSO COMMENCES MORE WORK AT THE PERMANENT SITE
It’s really a Christmas present to the Federal University of Health Sciences, Otukpo, (FUHSO) as the unassuming Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Innocent Ujah, mni, OON, on 22nd December 2022, officially handed over approved Drawings for the construction of the Faculty of Science, students' Hostel and Auditorium to the Consultants who in turn handed them to the Contractors. Presenting the Drawings of the structures, the Vice Chancellor said the exercise was a major breakthrough for FUHSO, describing it as the beginning of Science in the Faculty of Sciences in the University system worldwide. Prof Ujah, who challenged the Contractors to justify the trust which singled them out for the job, also added that the projects were facilitated by TETfund Special High Impact Project (SHIP) and thanked the Federal Government for the consideration, approval, and prompt release of funds. The Representative of Cubes Consult – Architect Chijioke Ebegbulem, Project Coordinator of UYK Nigeria Limited, Engr Abubarkar Funtua - Contractor handling the students' Hostel and Auditorium; Engr. Basi Musa Mohammed of Spectrum Engineering Ltd - for the construction of Microbiology and Physics Departments – Stargo Engineering Ltd, all pledged to carry out the job according to specifications and timely delivery. The Contractors have 44 weeks, 32 weeks, 30 weeks, and 56 weeks for Lecture Theatre, Physics and microbiology Departments, and studemts' Hostel respectively to complete the projects. The handing over exercise was carried out at the FUHSO permanent site, Akwete- Akpa, Otukpo LGA of Benue State, Nigeria.
